10 Haunting Deaths In Horror Movies (That We Never See)
1. The Sins - Se7en
Throughout Se7en, serial killer John Doe directly or indirectly executes people who he believes represents The Seven Deadly Sins.
However, we only see the aftermath, never the kills themselves. Even though this could lessen the impact of the characters' deaths, David Fincher's thriller is sure to leave you shaken to your core. Detective Somerset breaks down each murder in graphic detail, giving us great insight into the agony each victim experienced in their final moments.
Seeing Gluttony's bloated and discoloured corpse is more disturbing than watching him die. When we saw the bladed strap-on used to penetrate Lust to death, that was enough to chill us to the bone. As for Sloth...well... there's a good chance you will never get that image out of your head.
Then there's the ending. Overcome by desire, John Doe decapitates Detective Mills' pregnant wife, Tracy. Doe then presents the disembodied head to Mills in a box, compelling the detective to kill him.
We never witness Tracy's demise. We never see the contents of the box. And yet, it's a death that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.
