10 Highly Successful Actors Who Don't Actually Act

1. John Wayne

One of the most iconic and well loved actors in the history of motion picture, John Wayne, was arguably also one of the least talented actors of all time. Wayne managed to appear in 185 movies, and in every single one of them, he played John Wayne. This was fine for the majority of his roles, as they tended to require John Wayne to be a giant authority figure, most often a cowboy, in an American setting, so nobody really noticed. But there will forever be one glaring exception to Wayne's career, wherein some genius thought it would be a brilliant idea to cast John Wayne as Genghis Khan. It's literally like there was a bizarre scientific experiment where the Mongolian warlord was picked up and swapped with a sheriff of the Wild West, exchanging clothing on the way. He drawls his way through the entirety of the epic movie without so much of a slight attempt at sounding just a little bit like his fellow cast...who are all at least of Asian origin. But John Wayne was John Wayne, and if you didn't want John Wayne, you didn't offer him the part. So kudos once more, to a flat out ballsy approach to the whole acting profession to Mr. Wayne, who proved that you don't actually have to act to be a legendary actor. Do you know of anyone else who simply does not act, but somehow gets away with it? Let us know in the comments section below.
