Airplane II: The Sequel may not live up to the promise of its timeless predecessor, but it has its moments (e.g. a brilliant William Shatner cameo that lampoons his Star Trek work to hilarious effect). If you stick around as the credits roll, youll find a few more jokes hidden away as well. As the title Gaffer scrolls by, brackets next to it ponder (whats a gaffer?), playing on the fact that this old hat term for a films chief electrician isnt exactly a household phrase at this stage. And, two lines later, Airplane II even has the guts to find comedy in a Nazi Germany reference. The films Best Boy meaning: the assistant to the Gaffer was Frank McKane. But who was the Worst Boy, the credits ask us? Well, of course, the worst boy of all time would have to be Adolf Hitler. The credit has not been added to his IMDb page.
