2. Black Day: Wild Wild West

Men In Black helmer Barry Sonnenfeld had a cattle turd-sized problem when he took on the big screen reboot of TV series Wild Wild West. Clearly keen to work with MIB star Will Smith again, he looked around the prairie for other properties, and this is the one he settled on. The issue, such as it was, became Smith's race. Obviously the Wild West wasn't known for its squeaky clean attitude toward non-whites. But going in the exact opposite direction and creating a set piece out of a potential hanging? Maybe not what's going to put people at ease in the multiplex. Accidentally triggering a furore by groping a woman's gazongas, Smith's Jim West was frogmarched outside, where hilariously a tree and a swinging rope awaited him.
