2. The Hanger Games

What It's About: When wise-beyond-her years teenager Katniss Everdeen wins a lottery which grants her a place at the world's greatest fashion school, Panem, at first she's reluctant to enter. It's only at the urging of friends and family that she decides to take infamous designer Coriolanus Snow up on his offer. To win, Katniss must out-fashion the other lucky contestants for a chance to design the new winter line. Along the way, Katniss must participate in a number of "terrifying" events, the worst of which includes the popular Hanger Games - contestants, armed with an endless supply of coat hangers, must put together the "perfect wardrobe" under a scrutinising time limit. It won't be easy, and it won't be fun to watch, either. As Katniss becomes more and more self-absorbed, the world titters on the edge of revolution, wondering... who the hell cares?
