4. Arnold Schwarzenegger - From Nothing...To Hollywood...To Politics...To Hollywood

Arnold Schwarzenegger has had one of the most fascinating careers of anyone in Hollywood, coming to the U.S. at the age of 21 in 1968, speaking little English and immersing himself in the world of bodybuilding. As Arnie's English slowly improved, he began starring in films, such as Stay Hungry, for which he won a Golden Globe for Best Male Acting Debut, and this enhanced his profile enough that he was able to star in two Conan films, The Terminator, Red Sonja, Commando, Raw Deal, Predator, The Running Man, Red Heat, Twins, Total Recall, Kindergarten Cop, Terminator 2, Last Action Hero and True Lies all inside of a 13-year period during the 80s and early 90s. After this, Arnie's box office appeal began to slowly drop off, yet in 2003, Arnie was elected as Governor of California, serving two terms, which he finished up in 2011, at which point he returned to action movies with roles in two Expendables movies and his recent The Last Stand. Often said to be the physical embodiment of the American Dream, who would have thought an Austrian immigrant could have come so far?
