At first, Stan Lee's cameos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe were cute additions to it. We first saw him in Iron Man when Tony Stark mistook him for Hugh Hefner and then in The Incredible Hulk when he drank a bottle of soda containing a drop of the Bruce Banner's blood - and he's been in every movie since, as well as the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. television series - and it was charming to see. However, he has gone on to play characters like a beauty pageant judge in Iron Man 3 and "Xandarian Ladies Man" in Guardians of the Galaxy - and it's starting to get a little bit repetitive, corny and cringeworthy. It was certainly fun to begin with - and we certainly wouldn't begrudge a Marvel legend's continuing appearances in the future - but, sadly, it is all starting to get very unfunny.
