10 Horribly Incompetent Movie Directors Who Keep Getting Work

10. Paul W.S. Anderson

Paul WS AndersonFilmography: Shopping, Mortal Kombat, Event Horizon, Soldier, Resident Evil, Alien vs. Predator, Death Race, Resident Evil: Afterlife, The Three Musketeers, Resident Evil: Retribution I don't know how it's possible for one person to make so many movies and still, despite the fact that he's frequently aided by huge stars and huge budgets, to have never made a good one. It genuinely boggles the mind, because it should have happened by accident or something by now. Before you freak out by the way, don't get this guy confused with Paul Thomas Anderson, who is an actually good director. To mix them up is the biggest insult you could ever throw Paul Thomas Anderson's way, I think. Paul W.S. Anderson apparently loves the sci-fi genre, because he's worked in it for every movie he's ever made, though you wouldn't be able to tell from watching them, like you would with, say, Ridley Scott. Every script Anderson has come across thus far has become a target of his casual butchering: he seems to throw a movie together with minimal effort ("We'll do that in post"/"Put a slow-mo scene here for no reason"). Still, he's married to Milla Jovovich and you're not, so I guess it's all coming up Paul W.S. Anderson. Upcoming Movies: Pompeii and Resident Evil 6
