10 Horror Film Remakes You Didn't Know Were In The Works

4. Cujo

The second Stephen King film on this list, Cujo is one of the author's more harrowing works - both on the page and screen. Where many previous adaptations could do with a good refresh, this is one of the few that still holds up. You can only watch it once though, so traumatic is its tale of a good dog gone bad, viciously trying to tear to bits a mother and her son. Where the original film was a fairly close adaptation of the book, this one is reported to be straying pretty far away from the source material, allegedly renaming itself C.U.J.O. and taking on more of a Jurassic World vibe. No, really. The acronym is said to stand for 'Canine Unit Joint Operations' and will presumably have its cast terrorised by a militarised dog gone bad. Maybe that doesn't sound too bad, but it's not the Cujo we know and love. Bad dog! Play dead! Now, stay dead...
