10 Horror Movie Characters Killed In Reshoots

Final Destination launched a horror franchise and is known for its inventive and gruesome death sequences. In the original film, Carter Horton is an antagonistic character who clashes with our hero, Alex Browning.

In the original ending, Clear Rivers becomes next in Death's design and so Alex rushes in to save her. Realizing the only way to stop the pattern, Alex takes a livewire which burns and mortally wounds him. But our hero's sacrifice would ensure Clear's safety, as dying would break Death's plan and stop the accidents for good. A year later, our heroine gives birth to her child with Alex, and by the end of the film, she and Carter meet to mourn their fallen friends.

This did not test well with audiences and so a new ending was filmed, set six months later.

Alex, this time, survives his heroic sacrifice and makes it to Paris with Clear and Carter. Realizing Death is not done with them yet, a series of events nearly kills our protagonist but he's saved by his former enemy. But by saving Alex, Death's design resets and goes back to the first in line: Carter himself. The film then ends with a large sign heading straight towards Carter, who realizes his fate too late.
