10 Horror Movie Characters You Didn’t Trust (Even Though You Should Have)

6. David Worth - Cube

Urban Legend Brad Dourif
Trimark Productions

In Cube, six people awaken in a colossal maze that's filled with lethal booby-traps. After they get their bearings, they all try to work together to escape, save for one worthless malcontent, ironically called Worth.

Worth appears completely uninterested in the team's plans and regularly disregards their decisions. When he refuses to elaborate on his background, they start to suspect he's responsible for their predicament, especially Quentin.

After Worth blurts out, "There is no way outta here!" during a heated argument, it seemingly validates Quentin's notion. And when he confesses he designed the outer-shell of the labyrinth, it looks like the jig is up.

But very quickly, we realise Worth is as much as a victim as anyone else, since he was placed in the cube-shaped prison by his spiteful superiors. Not only that, he had no idea what the maze was built for. The only reason he didn't want to escape is because he was ashamed of the evil he unknowingly committed.

Sadly, things take a dark turn shortly after Worth's revelation. As the isolation and starvation takes its toll on Quentin, he snaps and starts killing the others. Even though Quentin seemed like the most stable of the lot, he was the one the group should've been wary of.
