10 Horror Movie Plots You Won’t Believe Actually Exist
4. A Murderous, Talking Thanksgiving Turkey - Thankskilling
There are great horror movies for most major holidays including Christmas, New Year's Eve, St. Patrick's Day and, obviously, Halloween. So where are the horror films for Thanksgiving? Well, in 2009, Americans got that with Jordan Downey's magical gift to the world, Thankskilling.
This is a movie about a killer turkey, but not just that. It's a talking killer turkey. Apparently centuries ago, a Native American created the turkey using necromancy or something, and now every 505 years Turkie (yes, that's really his name) appears to kill everyone.
The rest of the film is just as goofy as you'd imagine, with Turkie constantly quipping and cursing at people like an even grosser Chucky. In one scene he even tricks a guy into letting him in the house by wearing Groucho glasses and disguising himself as a human.
Things only got crazier with the sequel - they completely embraced the absurdity by jumping straight from Thankskilling to Thankskilling 3, which is about the search to find the last copy of Thankskilling 2. Awesome.
