10 Horror Movie Sets That Were (Allegedly) Haunted
5. The Exorcism Of Emily Rose (2005)
The Exorcism of Emily Rose ranks highly amongst horror fans, so tense and perfectly cast is the production. Directed by Scott Derricksen, it is based on the allegedly true-life account of Annaliese Michel (a German student who was said to have been possessed by several demons). It was released in 2005, and starred Jennifer Carpenter, Tom Wilkinson and Campbell Scott.
The lead actress Jennifer Carpenter, of US drama series Dexter, reported the feeling of being followed around the set, and at one point believed that an entity had followed her home. She said that her radio would turn itself on in the middle of the night – this happened several nights in a row – and would always play the same song. That song allegedly was Pearl Jam's "Alive." What was especially creepy was the song would always repeat the same phrase: "I'm still alive!"
Whether there was something demonic or ghostly attached to this horror-fan favourite or not, the movie is highly creepy and definitely worth a watch.
