10 Horror Movie Survivors Who Vanished From Sequels

1. Jessie Burlingame - Wrong Turn

When casual horror fans think of the Wrong Turn franchise and its victims, the first person who comes to mind is Eliza Dushku's Jessie Burlingame.

The thing is, Dushku's character - despite surviving the first Wrong Turn offering - only ever appeared in the inaugural entry in the seven-movie series.

In Rob Schmidt's 2003 picture, audiences were introduced to the inbred, flesh-devouring, body-splitting twisted ways of One Eye, Saw Tooth and Three Fingers. And this all came about after a group of six were forced to take a, err, wrong turn after a chemical spill.

From there, we see the film's three demented villains stalk this group and take them out one by one.

While four of our heroes of the hour would be slaughtered, Jessie was joined by Desmond Harrington's Chris Flynn in managing to make it out of this 2003 effort in one piece - and much like Jessie, Chris was likewise never featured or even referenced in the subsequent movies.

In a fun piece of trivia, Eliza Duskhu was at one point intended to play herself in the opening moments of Wrong Turn 2: Dead End, where she would've been brutally killed. Instead, audiences got American Idol finalist Kimberly Ann Caldwell-Harvey in that opening scene spot.
