10 Horror Movie Transformations Nobody Saw Coming

9. Theresa/Jack - The Color Out Of Space

We've all had family issues, but we should be grateful that we haven't had to deal with anything quite as traumatic as the Gardner family. That's because their house just happened to be right next to a fallen meteor, which pollutes the area with a supernatural colour.

This 'colour' has different effects on each family member - for instance, Nic Cage's Nathan kind of just turns into a deranged Trump impersonator - but mother Theresa (not that one) and son Jack suffer the worst fate.

On account of the otherworldly phenomenon, their beings are suddenly fused together in a horrifying abomination that's part person, part monster.

In a perverse way, it's the absolute highlight of the movie. The creature is brought to life practically and serves both as a marvel of movie-making magic... and a total nightmare creation you don't want to look in the eye(s).

Eventually, Theresa/Jack is put out of its misery, but nothing tops its grand, gross reveal.
