10 Horror Movie Twists That Pissed Everyone Off

2. The Final Act - Halloween Kills

Urban Legends: Final Cut
Universal Pictures

Many were left frustrated with so much of Halloween Kills' final act, with the baffling decision of Haddonfield's residents to not make sure Michael Myers was dead a particularly forehead-slapping moment.

Of course, Michael rose up once more to clinically, brutally take out all of those who had laid a vicious beating on him. Most shockingly, amongst those offed by the Shape here was Judy Greer's Karen Nelson, aka the daughter of Laurie Strode.

For those still shaking their head at Haddonfield slacking off on killing Myers, the twist death of Karen was the final straw. Even for those who gave a pass to what had gone before, Karen's demise left somewhat of a bad taste. If any major character was going to bite the bullet in Halloween Kills, the most logical option seemed to be Laurie, with Strode's daughter and granddaughter then left to seek revenge of Michael in this year's Halloween Ends.

Instead, Karen spots something in an upstairs window of the old Myers house, takes a closer look, and winds up stabbed and (presumably) killed by Michael in the exact same room he'd had murdered his sister in back in 1963 when he was just six years of age.
