10 Horror Movie Villains KILLED Before The End

Now, there's certainly debate that can be had about the identity of the main villain in Brian De Palma's Carrie, but there's no denying just how utterly detestable Carrie's (Sissy Spacey) longtime school bully Chris Hargensen (Nancy Allen) truly is.

While it's hardly a surprise that Chris gets her grim comeuppance at film's end after humiliating Carrie at the prom, it nevertheless happens a tad earlier than you might expect, with De Palma waiting a little while longer to serve up the film's real finale.

After Chris has pigs' blood dumped on Carrie and she responds by embarking on a fiery, telekinetic rampage, Carrie walks home and Chris, who is driving home with boyfriend Billy (John Travolta), attempts to run her over.

However, Carrie uses her powers to flip the car and cause it to explode, killing both Chris and Billy instantly.

This would be a fine enough leaping-off point for many movies, but of course, De Palma keeps going for almost another 20 minutes, as Carrie returns home, confronts and kills her abusive mother Margaret (Piper Laurie), and then caves the whole damn house in on herself.
