10 Horror Movie Villains Who Returned More Badass

6. Death - Final Destination 5

The premise of the first Final Destination film was really original. A group of people escape death, only for the reaper to pick them off one by one to claim the souls it was cheated of.

However, after four films of pretty much the same thing over and over again, people started to get sick of this concept, so it was a breath of fresh air when Final Destination 5 came along.

Most of the story was pretty similar to what had come before, with the various characters getting crushed, stabbed, or splattered in increasingly grim ways. The quality of the kills was much higher than in previous instalments though, particularly Olivia's trip to the opticians.

Death really comes into its own in the movie's final act, which links up with the beginning of the first film in the series. Survivors Sam and Molly find themselves on board Flight 180 and realise too late that they are about to die. The inevitability of their fate is the most chilling thing in this gruesome tale - there's nowhere to hide from the dark abyss.
