10 Horror Movies That Brutally Punish Your Curiosities

8. Scream 2

Dimension Films

Memorably, Scream 2's opening act sees the brutal deaths of Maureen Evans (Jade Pinkett Smith) and Phil Stevens (Omar Epps) during a preview screening of the in-universe Stab movie.

While Maureen was murdered after Ghostface took Phil's place in the chair next to her in the theater, Phil's demise was caused by his own nosey nature.

Having paid a visit to the men's room, Phil hears some playful noise from the cubical next to him. Somewhat creepily pressing his ear up against the cubical wall to hear what's going on in the adjacent loo, it's here that Phil's curiosity results in him getting a knife through the side of the head courtesy of one of this sequel's two masked killers.

It shouldn't need spelling out for anyone reading this, but seriously, don't go creeping and listening to a person doing what they do in a toilet stall. Just... just no, not cool, pretty disgusting, totally perverted, and for all you know, that person may be holding a butcher's knife that they're looking to stick in your cranium.
