10 Horror Movies With Scooby Doo Plots

8. Berserker

As they’re wont to do in horror movies, 6 teenagers go into the woods to drink beer, go skinny dipping and tell campfire tales about Berserkers, the Viking warriors that wore bearskin robes and snout masks. They were also cannibals whose taste for human stew gave them the ability to possess the body of a relative, ensuring that their bloodlust would continue through the ages.

This of course means that there are Berserkers in the present, and because both the Warden and the Sheriff warned the damn fool kids not to go into the woods after dark, the place must be crawling with those suckers, right, gang? When the cast start getting knocked off one by one that certainly appears to be the situation, though the identity of the assailant isn’t revealed until the end.

Alas, the killer turns out to be the Warden (played by John Carpenter regular George Buck Flower), who isn’t a Viking at all, just a lonely old man who likes to dress up in a bearskin and kill teenagers for some reason or other. He would’ve gotten away with it too, if he hadn’t been mauled by a real bear.
