10 Horror Movies You Didn’t Know Were Connected
6. Bride Of Chucky & It (1990)
The opening scene of Bride of Chucky is infamous amongst horror fans for the ridiculous amount of references it crams into one evidence locker. Every notable horror series from Halloween to Puppet Master gets a nod as we're shown a series of different lockers that contain all manner of masks, weapons, and other such iconic accessories of our favourite horror movie baddies.
They go by in an instant, but it's a fun little reference for fans and helps establish the film's darkly comedic and self-aware tone straight out of the gate. But hidden a little bit later in the film is one final reference, although this one is a lot harder to spot.
Concealed in the admittedly blurry background of an alleyway, you can just about make out a wanted poster that has the image of a scary-looking clown on it. Said clown is none other than Pennywise the Dancing Clown, the most common form taken by It, Stephen King's child-eating cosmic horror.
Given that so many other famous villains are implied to exist within this universe, it only makes sense that It would also be in attendance. Or perhaps It takes the form of all the other slasher villains in this universe?
Food for thought...
