10 Horror Movies You Didn't Realise Stupidly Broke Their Own Rules
8. The Eye Transplant Lets Mun Hear Ghosts - The Eye (2002)
The Rule
2002's cult classic horror film The Eye revolves around blind classical violinist Wong Kar Mun (Angelica Lee), whose sight is restored when she receives a new pair of eyes.
Before long, Mun begins to see terrifying ghostly entities, as is later revealed to be the result of her eye transplant, the donor Ling (Chutcha Rujinanon) having possessed a psychic ability to foresee death.
The Breaker
This is all well and good, except Mun is also able to hear the ghosts, which doesn't make much sense if Mun's new abilities are explicitly linked to the haunted eyes she recently received.
Clearly the filmmakers realised that it would be less-scary if the ghosts were silent and simply hoped that most audiences wouldn't notice the discrepancy - which, in fairness, they didn't.
Even so, the fact that Mun's ears are also affected by the supernatural hooey despite having not been altered in any tangible way is totally baffling.
