10 Huge Mistakes In Marvel's Cinematic Universe

8. Forced Romance (Thor)

Thor I wasn't a huge fan of Thor as it stands, and one of the big reasons was because of the laughably cynical central "romance" between the titular Asgardian and Dr. Jane Foster, which is utterly superfluous to the grander narrative, and is woefully underdeveloped. Even ignoring the fact that Thor and Jane don't have a whole lot of screen time together - given that Thor finds himself dividing his time between Asgard and Earth - does every superhero movie need a romance thrown in higgledy-piggledy? Not much more than a few seconds of thought are devoted to establishing this connection, such that when they end up kissing, who really gives a damn? If this relationship is going to work, more screen time needs to be focused on their relationship in Thor: The Dark World, because I don't care at all at the moment.
