10 Iconic Batman Comics That Could Inspire Matt Reeves' Batman Trilogy

9. Batman: Year One

As far as reboots go, there is probably no better arc to adapt for the first movie than Year One. As the name pretty much gives away, this chronicles Batman’s earliest days as the Caped Crusader. Here, a returning Bruce Wayne first starts properly grappling with how bad Gotham’s situation really was.

This also follows his early friendship with Jim Gordon and the latter coming into his own to become the face of the police that the city desperately needed. Standing opposite the good guys are the usual rogues gallery, with Carmine Falcone being at the forefront.

We already know the likes of Catwoman, Riddler and Penguin to be involved in the upcoming movie, along with Don Falcone. So it would be no surprise if a good chunk of this story makes its way into the first instalment of the trilogy.
