10 Iconic Bloody Moments In Quentin Tarantino Films

3. Kill Bill Vol. 1 - Bill Kills the Bride

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ew5EYd5_i6M Kill Bill has the greatest opening to any of Quentin's films. This one literally starts with a bang. You don't need to know what happened for her to get to this point, because you can see everything in the Brides' battered face. The black and white works perfectly. You can't take your eyes off of her face. Had it been in colour, I doubt it would've been as effective, you would've been distracted by the various shades of purple that were presumably in that black eye. And the sound. That gun shot startles you. And then Nancy Sinatra starts up, and the colour comes in, and you're in a different movie. Tarantino knows how to grab an audience.
