10 Iconic Comic Book Movie Moments Not In The Script

9. "That's A Lovely, Lovely Voice" - The Dark Knight Rises

One of the more weirdly hilarious moments from The Dark Knight Rises sees Bane (Tom Hardy) listening to a young boy singing the American national anthem shortly before blowing the football stadium to smithereens. Upon hearing the high-pitched tenor, the supervillain quips, "That's a lovely, lovely voice."

It's hysterically out-of-place which only makes it that much funnier, and better yet, Hardy came up with the line himself during shooting.

There will be those who argue that the quip is just a little too jarring and undercuts the seriousness of the scene, but whatever your opinion, it's one of the most memorable and oft-quoted moments from the sequence.
