10 Iconic Comic Book Storylines That Are Currently Impossible

1. DC Vs Marvel (DC & Marvel)

In much the same way that JLA/Avengers is currently impossible for movie adaptation, DC Vs Marvel is as well - except this would be even more complex to do, even in the long-term. The story here was that two brothers who personified the DC and Marvel Universes became aware of the other's existence and challenged each other to a series of duels involving each universe's respective superheroes. The problem isn't only that a movie would require characters from both DC and Marvel - there's also the issue that it involved characters from all three of Marvel's different movie franchises. The likes of Thor and Captain America from the Marvel Cinematic Universe took on Captain Marvel and Batman respectively, Spider-Man from Sony's Amazing Spider-Man franchise took on Superboy, and Wolverine and Storm took on Lobo and Wonder Woman respectively (while characters like the Silver Surfer, who will be a part of the Fantastic Four reboot at some point, also had a battle with Green Lantern). The arc also allowed for viewer votes in the cases of some of the fights - and they could hardly do that with a movie! Essentially, a DC Vs Marvel movie will never happen - let alone now. So there you have it - ten iconic comic book storylines that are currently impossible and could not yet be turned in to a movie. Did you enjoy this article?
