Tom Woodruff Jr has been a whirlwind force of character creation in the horror industry, both wearing the works and creating all sorts of nightmarish new ones in his time as a practical effects artist. Most famously, he's made and inhabited the bugs for Starship Troopers, been a xenomorph on Alien 3, and worn a gorilla suit more often than people have donned fresh underwear - but it's the eternally creepy Pumpkinhead that stands as his lasting legacy.

SFX legend Stan Winston utilised Pumpkinhead as his directorial debut, bringing Woodruff Jr on board as a lead in the design team before sticking the suit on him and making him take down wrong-doers with a vengeance.

He's a pretty normal dude, all things considering, and has worked on roughly 40 movies as an actor in some sort of creepy capacity. A further 90 have his credit as an artist, bringing to life all sorts of devilish creations that dominate the movies they're in.
