10 Iconic Horror Movie Characters Done Dirty

4. Chop-Top

If you ask Texas Chainsaw Massacre fans who they're second favourite character is, chances are a good portion of them will mention Bill Moseley's Chop-Top. Heck, some might even class Chop-Top as their absolute favourite character, putting him above franchise poster boy Leatherface.

As such, it's unbelievable that this figure introduced in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 has yet to resurface in any other movie.

Nowadays a little more appreciated that it was upon its 1986 release, TCM2 takes the terror of the original film and introduces a dollop of black comedy and plenty more gore than its predecessor. And front-and-centre for so much of that, is music-loving, trippy Vietnam veteran Chop-Top.

Chop-Top is the main focus of William Hooper's All American Massacre, which completed in 2000. Sadly, that hour-long effort remains unreleased to this day.

Moseley himself has returned to the series, playing Drayton Sawyer in the opening flashback sequence of Texas Chainsaw 3D, but any plans to bring Chop-Top back - such as for 2017's Leatherface - have ultimately come to nothing. With rights issues at play for the character, he wasn't even allowed to be featured in last year's Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game.
