Star Wars fans are a special breed of loyal. They will be very vocal in their attempt to protect the legacy of the original trilogy. They will have help, too, as Harrison Ford is a mainstream icon in his own right. This will move the skepticism regarding a potential prequel and its inevitable recasting out of message boards and into mainstream media. The best thing Disney has going for it is actually that same fan loyalty. Fans may vote with their mouths and their keyboards, but not so much with their wallets. Despite all the griping about the prequel trilogy, fans still lined up to pay their money and watch each film multiple times.
