10 Iconic Movie Scenes You Won't Admit Have Aged Terribly

2. The Vanishing Hand - Back To The Future

With 2015 finally here it's time to assess the predictions made in Back To The Future Part II and see just how accurate the filmmakers were. We're certainly off to a good start - only recently Tony Hawks demonstrated the first fully functioning hoverboard. Readers in the UK had the pleasure of catching up with the original trilogy over the Christmas break, and for the most part they were no doubt impressed with just how well many of the effects hold up today. The same can't be said for the Earth Angel song sequence from the first entry in the series, where Marty McFly finds himself disappearing before his own eyes as he holds up his fading hand. It's a pretty shoddy effect in an otherwise convincing film, but it hasn't stopped Back To The Future going down as one of the greatest blockbusters of the 1980s, and nor should it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PiWd96LldM
