10 Iconic Sci-Fi Movie Moments That Were Totally Improvised

4. "I Don't Wanna Go" - Avengers: Infinity War

The Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of, if not the, most carefully curated events in movie history.

For that reason, it may come as a shock to you that one heart-breaking scene at the climax of Avengers: Infinity War came about on-the-spot. Last chance now to turn back if you are the one person who is yet to see this movie

The scene in question comes after the infamous ‘snap’ in Infinity War’s third act. Intergalactic d-bag Thanos succeeds in collecting the ‘Infinity Stones’ and snaps his fingers, causing half of all life in the universe to perish.

That’s bad news for fan-favourite wed-head Spider-Man (Tom Holland) who dies in a truly harrowing way. The hero fades to dust whilst clutching onto his mentor Tony Stark, dolefully stammering out how he “[doesn’t] wanna go.” Needless to say, the unscripted moment is heart-rending, causing more nerds to blubber in a theatre than the release of The Phantom Menace.

An added dimension will be added to your next viewing with the new knowledge that this beautiful moment was unscripted. On set, Holland was simply given the direction that “he [didn’t] want to go,” and what resulted?

Two-billion USD.
