10 Iconic Villains Who Deserved Much Better Deaths

1. Boba Fett €“ Star Wars

The greatest hit-man in the history of the galaxy, Boba Fett has moved on to that mythical plain where legends and myths exist beyond their original frames.

He is a cultural phenomenon all of his own, and he is arguably the single most enduring faceless character in the entire Star Wars franchise. But he's also killed in one of the most ridiculous moments of the entire original series.

Rather than being allowed a heroic battle, Boba is knocked into the Sarlacc pit by a partially blind Han Solo, who inadvertently knocks his jetpack on in a move more worthy of the Marx brothers than an intergalactic uber-pirate.

How He Actually Deserved To Die

Okay, so he doesn't actually die (mostly thanks to fan clamour,) but sticking to the boundaries of the original trilogy, it was always safe to assume that the assassin with the mostest became no more than calories for the Sarlacc.

Boba should have been killed after an extended battle with a worthy opponent €“ he should have faced off with Han, the coolest anti-hero in the galaxy, who becomes comic relief for a painfully stupid sequence of Return Of The Jedi. Because Luke becomes the hero during the rescue scenes, Han's heroism is deemed surplus, so he's pushed out to the role of clown, and Boba is robbed of a worthy adversary.
