10 Iconic Villains Who Deserved Much Better Deaths
7. Bellatrix Lestrange - Harry Potter
Aside from Lord Voldemort, and perhaps Fenrir Greyback (his horrendously under-used werewolf underling,) the single most enduring and terrifying villain in the Harry Potter series is Bellatrix Lestrange. Not scared of killing children or family members, she is a malignence, and she deserves the worst kind of death at the hands of one of the most worthy characters.
The decision to have Molly Weasley freshly mourning the death of her son Fred at the hands of Augustus Rookwood kill her, is a nice little nod to her fiercely maternal instincts, but it's something of a damp resolution. Plus, it's pretty clear that Molly doesn't actually cast a killing curse, which would be green, when her wand erupts with red sparks.
How She Actually Deserved To Die
Because Bellatrix was an abomination of femininity the ultimate anti-mother her death at the hands of a woman made sense, but Molly Weasley is essentially a house wife who uses her magic for making cakes and washing dishes. Bellatrix should have been taken out either by a child she tried to kill - Ginny would have made sense - or even better a professor with magical abilities suited to killing someone so powerful, like Professor McGonagall.
She should have also suffered the torture of knowing Voldemort never cared about her, to add insult to injury, the nasty, bee-hived cow.
