10 Images That Prove James Cameron Is Totally Insane
3. The Hard, Hands-On Approach
James Cameron has never been a director that's afraid of getting hands-on when making his films. He might be known for pushing his actors to harsh extremes, but no-one could deny that Cameron is happy to face those same extremes with them. Cameron became legendary for his hard-charging approach when making 1997 blockbuster Titanic. Filming required hours of filming while submerged in cold water, resulting in a number of cast members experiencing flu, colds and kidney infections, including star Kate Winslet. One (unknown) crew member was so angry, that he spiked the soup that the cast and crew were eating with the dissociative drug PCP. Over 50 people were sent to hospital that night, though Cameron managed to avoid a similar fate by forcing fingers down his throat in order to vomit the spiked soup.
