10 Most Important Star Wars Characters Not In The Movies

10. Mara Jade

mara jade skywalker Over the course of her life, Mara Jade was an Emperor€™s Hand, a secret Force operative and assassin, and a Mara Jade is best known for becoming Luke Skywalker€™s wife and mother to his child, Ben Skywalker. As an Emperor€™s Hand, her last command was to kill Luke Skywalker; however, she decided not to fulfill this task and instead pursued her own interests. Had she followed Emperor Palpatine€™s wishes and confronted or killed Skywalker as ordered, the New Republic would€™ve certainly been a different place. In later stories, she also played a central role in after she was murdered by her nephew Jacen Solo, who became Darth Caedus, whose siblings Anakin and Jaina Solo she had trained as Jedi Padawans, and taught many important lessons about the Force. Her relationship with Jacen Solo was especially poignant, spanning multiple story arcs, with a lot of detail put in her observing Jacen€™s slow turn to the Dark Side. Because of all of this, Mara Jade played a major role in the development of the New Jedi Order, the New Republic, and the new Sith in a post-Empire Star Wars Galaxy.
