8. Night Of The Blood Beast (1958)
Produced by Roger Corman, Night of the Blood Beast has a monster that briefly appeared in a previous Corman title, Teenage Cave Man (both monster scenes filmed within two weeks of each other), although slightly altered as to not make it too obvious. Worn by Ross Sturlin, the blood beast had a somewhat 'Swamp Thing' look to it, humanoid enough yet sympathetic too. In fact, both creatures were very clever and scientists of sorts. In this case, the blood beast claimed to want to help humanity but before it was given a 'real' chance to, it is killed. By the end, we don't know if the creature was telling the truth or if humanity really did destroy it's chance for salvation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XMXcsbqrig&feature=youtu.be
