10 Incredibly Dumb Sequels You Won't Believe Almost Got Made

7. The Break-Up 2: Getting Back Together

ëTHE BREAK-UPíThe Break-Up is a pretty generic rom-com, notable only because it starred Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston and... um, well, that's about it, really: that's all the movie did. It had those two actors in it. The Break-Up was kind of unique in one aspect, though, in the sense that it defied conventional romantic comedy ending logic and finished with the two main characters actually deciding to end their relationship. The credits rolled on that bum note. It was kind of "feel bad" in a sense, mainly because it was so unexpected, but mostly because your girlfriend was super sad that Jennifer Aniston had lost yet another boyfriend. Maybe that's why, for a short time, a sequel to The Break-Up was put into development, with both Aniston and Vaughn set to reprise their roles as a bickering couple (which was, at the time, what they were in real life). No, the idea of a sequel movie about them getting back together doesn't make much sense, because that's boring as hell, but this is Hollywood, people, what were you expecting?
