10 Incredibly Sneaky Film Director Cameos You Totally Missed

9. Tim Burton In Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children

The Hobbit Battle Of The Five Armies Peter Jackson

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children was a decent Burton flick, and a far cry from several of the director's prominent misfires like Planet Of The Apes and Dark Shadows.

But it too was very nearly a disaster, with the kooky director mentioning to CinemaBlend that the production ran out of money and lost several crew members toward the end of the shoot.

So, when the time came to shoot one of the movie's final pier-set scenes, Burton was forced to take action!

Since the director didn't actually have any permits to shoot at the location, he simply hopped on the ride himself while the remaining crew got the shot quickly.

Desperate times call for desperate measures! They also call for sunglasses on an overcast day. Apparently.

He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
