You could almost hear the countless gasps of surprise when Community directors Joe and Anthony Russo were hired to work on the second instalment in the Captain America series.

Luckily for Marvel Studios, the pair were genuinely passionate about the character - which surely contributed to the film's quality - and they eventually began work on the followup, 2016's Captain America: Civil War.

And, like any fan would do in their position, they couldn't resist hopping in front of the camera for a quick cameo.

Or, rather, one of them couldn't.

Joe had previously popped up in The Winter Soldier as a SHIELD doctor who tends to Black Widow's wounds...

...but his sneakiest appearance was in Civil War, where he can be seen in a couple of blink-and-you'll-miss-it shots, like this one:

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
