7. Han Solo in Return of the Jedi
As stated in other articles written for WhatCulture already the rumor is that Harrison Ford will only return to Star Wars Episode VII if they will kill off Han Solo. Apparently he never much cared for the role. His obsession with the death of Solo seems to have begun when George Lucas denied him the right to die in Return of the Jedi. The original story had the gang sneaking into Jabba's palace to rescue Han only to have him killed later in the battle for Endor, a ending that would have made the first third of the film seem pointless to say the least. Of course, Lucas changed his mind. When asked why Solo was allowed to live, Harrison shrugged, stating Lucas was more concerned with toy sales and wanted to keep all the main characters alive. He said, "George didn't think there was much future in dead Han toys."
