10 Insane Facts You Might Have Missed About Recent Movies
5. A New Entry In The Guinness Book Of World Records - The Fall Guy
Cinema has a long history with the Guinness Book of World Records. Of course, there are the obvious records, the likes of highest box office total, and longest runtime, but there are also others that are more obscure, like Night of the Living Dead being the movie to appear in most other movies (129).
In 2024, The Fall Guy joined some of the biggest films ever made in the famous record books. Though a fun outing, David Leitch's effort flopped hard, with its box office gross of $181 million barely covering the budget, and it isn't exactly going to be remembered as a classic in any regard. However it does, at least for now, have its name etched in history.
It is rather fitting that the story revolving around a Hollywood stuntman would enter the record books thanks to one of its own stuntmen. Logan Halliday, the stunt driver for Ryan Gosling's Colt Seavers, set a new record for most cannon rolls in a car, with 8.5.
The amount of work in terms of preparations and calculations, all made harder by the fact that the stunt was performed on sand, shows such incredible dedication to the craft. This was certainly a worthy successor to the previous record, held by Adam Kirley who performed seven rolls on the set of Casino Royale in 2006.
