10 Insane Monsters We Hope To See In The New Kong-Zilla-Verse

Much like his foe Godzilla was an allegory for the Hydrogen bomb, Hedorah the Smog Monster is the physical embodiment of pollution.

Originally a microscopic organism from a dark gas nebula in the Orion Constellation, wee baby Hedorah hitched a ride to earth on a comet and immediately went to town on an all-you-can-eat buffet of raw sewage, toxic waste, smog, and all other manner of horrible crap we humans are constantly spewing into the environment.

What makes Hedorah stand out, aside from his atypically well-thought-out backstory, is his nigh-invulnerability to Godzilla. Big G’s laser-breath has no effect on Hedorah, and any pieces that break off big Hedorah just turn into little Hedori.

Hedorah has also been known to show mercy to kittens, so he’s cool in my book.
