Where would we be without crazy movie theories? They make average films so much more awesome than ever planned and add another layer to already brilliant ones. Theres countless pages on the internet and endless did you know? discussions around the proverbial water cooler, yet for the most part fan theories are ill thought out and actually incredibly easy to disprove. Honourable Mention - Aladdin Is Set In The Future
This is one of the craziest theories around, particularly given it originates from a Disney film, which should be narratively simplistic. But I cant bring myself to put it on the official list because a small part of me actually believes it. Genie says that he has been in the lamp for 10,000 years, while also remarking Aladdins clothes are so 3rd century. The only way for him to know this is to have been free around then, meaning the film must be set in at least 10,200. Its pretty silly on the face of it, but makes a lot more sense when you consider his in depth knowledge of 20th century pop culture.
