10 Insane Movie Theories (That Are Clearly Utter Bull)

Prom2 Where would we be without crazy movie theories? They make average films so much more awesome than ever planned and add another layer to already brilliant ones. There's something people find addictive about seeing these alternate readings of classic films that add unintended depth. Now excuse me for whinging, but isn't all a bit too much. There€™s countless pages on the internet and endless €˜did you know?€™ discussions around the proverbial water cooler, yet for the most part fan theories are ill thought out and actually incredibly easy to disprove. Don€™t believe me? Then follow me in dissecting of the most popular and insane theories fans have offered up to us. Some you'll know, some you won't, but all are too silly for their own good. Light spoilers are present throughout, although we are dealing with films so deep in the public consciousness there€™s incredibly well thought out theories behind them, so I wouldn't worry.

Honourable Mention - Aladdin Is Set In The Future

Aladdin This is one of the craziest theories around, particularly given it originates from a Disney film, which should be narratively simplistic. But I can€™t bring myself to put it on the official list because a small part of me actually believes it. Genie says that he has been in the lamp for 10,000 years, while also remarking Aladdin€™s clothes are so €œ3rd century€. The only way for him to know this is to have been free around then, meaning the film must be set in at least 10,200. It€™s pretty silly on the face of it, but makes a lot more sense when you consider his in depth knowledge of 20th century pop culture.
