Fallouts on movie sets aren't exactly uncommon, and can be the product of a plethora of different reasons. Some of the biggest are the likes of ego, creative differences, and even just plain old personality clashes.

Rarer is what happened between Megan Fox and Michael Bay, something that led to the former being fired from Bay's Transformers franchise. Sure, stars may have disagreed with the directing style of the person in charge before, but how many would publicly compare them to Adolf Hitler?

Fox starred in Transformers in 2007, and the sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in 2009, likely accounting for more ticket sales among teenage boys than any love for the toy franchise ever did. However, in an interview for Wonderland in 2009, Fox compared Bay's authoritarian directing style to Hitler.

Michael Bay himself admitted that he personally took no offense to the comments, and that it was Steven Spielberg, who served as producer on every Transformers movie, that called for her firing. Had that criticism, which was something of a damning account of his "alpha-male" directing style peppered with compliments about his personality away from the set, stayed between them rather than gone public, it's possible Fox would have returned for Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon and beyond.
