James Bond's 25th film hasn't even been released yet, and it's already had to deal with some serious problems with development that have threatened to shut it down. Originally, it was supposed to release in April 2020, but COVID-19 pushed the release back to November, but it nearly didn't make it.

The film had legendary director Danny Boyle on tap to direct, but the director took a hike, which is rarely good mid-production for any film. Boyle had a problem with the script, but there was a dispute concerning the casting of the lead villain, which may have been a factor.

The studio then had to contend with a movie without a director, and the race was on to find one. Eventually, Cary Joji Fukunaga came on to direct. There was another problem with the production, and it had everything to do with Daniel Craig's health.

The veteran Bond actor nearly had to drop out due to an injury to his leg. He injured his knee previously, and while he wasn't sure he could carry on in No Time To Die, he nevertheless gave it a shot.

According to the actor, he "exploded" his ankle while filming, which nearly killed production altogether.
