10 Insanely Dark Marvel Moments That Will Never Make It To Film

3. Hank Pym Strikes Janet Van Dyne

Hank Pym is one of the most interesting, intense and erratic characters in the Marvel comic book world, so understandably many were upset that the focus of this year’s Ant-Man movie was on Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang.

One of the most memorable moments of Hank’s comic book run is the truly shocking moment in Avengers #213 where he slaps long-time beau Janet van Dyne. At the time taking on the unhinged Yellowjacket moniker, Pym falls out with The Avengers, creates (another!) maniacal robot, and gives his other half a black eye to boot.

In terms of breakdowns, nobody quite does it as well as poor Henry Pym.

Given the timeline established in Peyton Reed's Ant-Man, it looks as if we’ve got no chance of seeing this particular entry play out on the big screen.
