10 Internet Horror Stories That Should Be Movies

6. He Stood Against My Window

Seeing a stranger in or around your home really is one of those classic horror scenarios that plenty of people have had nightmares over. Most of these stories go out of their way to paint these strangers as creepy and outlandish in their behaviours, usually going into extreme detail with their actions and appearances to really sell the scares.

Sabethook's short story posted in the r/shortscarystories subreddit 'He Stood Against My Window' acts as pretty much the opposite example of this trend.

This short is less than seven hundred words long, however it's this choice of format that carries all of the story's impact. The premise itself is as simple as the title sounds: the author being alerted to a strange-looking man pressing his face up against the window in front of him. The stranger's red lipstick, cartoonish smile, and freakish matted hair is a striking image and the unknown mystery behind his motivations and what happens after the story ends is seriously impressive.

Whether it be through a quick short film, or much larger expansion on the original source, it would be brilliant to see this Window-staring figure pulled onto the big screen.
