1. Sudden Clarity Clarence
Cinematic equivalent: Dave Kujan (Chazz Palminteri) in The Usual Suspects (Spoiler-alert for the two people on the planet who havent seen this film yet. Click Next now) Sudden Clarity Clarence is that moment you realise something you really should have known all along. That light bulb moment when you realise you spent so much time at your grandparents house as a kid, so that your mum and dad could have sex. For its cinematic counterpart, and a nice ending to this list, victim of one of cinemas great twist-endings: Dave Kujan in The Usual Suspects. The Usual Suspects employs the familiar narrative device whereby the plot is told in flashback, as narrated by the witness or suspect of a police interrogation. The witness or criminal is Verbal Kint (Kevin Spacey), who spins a long and convoluted tale, which Kujan hopes will shed some light on the true identity of mysterious master criminal Keyser Soze. For those of you that didnt heed my spoiler-alert, you have probably already deduced that Verbal Kint IS Keyser Soze (perhaps, since spoiler-alerts are themselves spoilers, I ought to have included a spoiler-alert-alert). The truth was literally right in front of Kujan the whole movie. The only way the truth could have been more right under his nose would be if his own moustache was Keyser Soze.
