6. Good Guy Greg
Cinematic equivalent: C.C. Baxter (Jack Lemmon) in The Apartment Good Guy Greg is a generous, all-round courteous guy that just makes the world a nicer place to live in. Hes always handy with a cigarette, and if he ever bums one of you, you know youre going to get two in return later. His cinematic counterpart has to be C.C Baxter in The Apartment, played to predictable perfection by real-life nice guy Jack Lemmon. C.C. Baxter is the ultimate people-pleaser. Throughout the film he goes out of his way to help those around him, often to his own detriment. He cuts keys to his own apartment for his superiors at work and often finds himself left out on the cold New York street while they drink his booze, eat his food, play his records and cheat on their wives. Truth be told, his main character fault is that hes too nice, and for most of the film, sort of a push-over. So theres a little bit of Bad Luck Brian in him too, but I suppose nice guys finish last.
